Bariatric Living: 30 Session Curriculum
Each of the activities in this book was designed to raise awareness about changes that will often need to happen before and after surgery and prepare participants for unexpected changes in their relationships and activities. The therapists’ job is to not only help increase awareness, but also identify unrealistic expectations or warning signs for noncompliance with the treatment plan and counsel participants accordingly. In the following pages you will find activities to use for your groups. Depending on the size of your group and how quickly you go through each activity, the curriculum will take between 24 and 30 weeks.
