  • TCBAP accepts TCBAP/DSHS/NAADAC approved education providers Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor – (AADC)
    The Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor credential upgrades and standardizes qualifications of those working in the field of addiction counseling. The following AADC credentialing guidelines have been developed by the Texas Certification Board of Addiction Professionals (TCBAP).Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counselor – (ADC) 
    The Alcohol Drug Counselor credential upgrades and standardizes qualifications of those working in the field of chemical dependency counseling.Certified Chemical Dependency Specialist – (CCDS)The Chemical Dependency Specialist credential upgrades and standardizes qualifications of those working in the field of addiction counseling.

    Certified Compulsive Gambling Counselor – (CCGC)
    The Compulsive Gambling Counselor credential upgrades and standardizes qualifications of those working in the field of addiction counseling.

    Certified Criminal Justice Addictions Professionals – (CCJP)
    After collaborating with criminal justice professionals around the state and around the country, TCBAP has requested and received permission from the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium to offer the CCJP certification for Criminal Justice Professionals who also work in and around the field of substance abuse.

    Peer Mentor / Peer Recovery Coach Designation – (PM/PRC)
    Statement of Purpose 
    The Peer Mentor/Peer Recovery Coach Designation (PM/PRC) standardizes qualifications of those working in peer recovery support within the field of chemical dependency, mental health, and/or co-occurring disorders.

    Peer Recovery Support Specialist – (PRS)
    The Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRS) credential standardizes qualifications of those working in peer recovery support within the field of chemical dependency, mental health, and/or co-occurring disord

RULE §801.264 Types of Acceptable Continuing Education

(2) if it is provided by a board-approved provider of continuing education by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors​ or the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners (AllCEUs is provider #7049)​… and it is relevant to the practice of marriage and family therapy.

AllCEUs is an approved education provider for:
● The Texas Boards of Social Work and Professional Counseling
● NAADAC, the National Association of Addiction Professionals
● The Connecticut Certification Board (an IC&RC member board)
● the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counseling Board of Georgia (an IC&RC member board)
● The California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals
● the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling

Social Workers

Texas Board of Social Work Examiners
Approved UNDER 22 TAC, §781.511(c): Entities that receive automatic status as approved providers without applying or paying fees include accredited colleges and universities; a national or statewide association, board or organization representing members of the social work profession; nationally accredited health or mental health facilities; or a person or agency approved by any state or national organization in a related field such as medicine, law, psychiatry, psychology, sociology, marriage and family therapy, professional counseling, and similar fields of human service practice. Regarding entities that receive automatic status as approved providers under this section, the board will not provide documentation of board-approved status nor will the board include such entities in its roster of board-approved providers.
