Addiction Professional CEU

CEUs from an IC&RC and NAADAC approved provider like AllCEUs would be accepted.

Accepted Approvals:

“10.42.06.03 Complete 40 (30 for Licensed Bachelor Social Workers) continuing education units within the renewal period, of which a minimum of: (a) 20 (15 for Licensed Bachelor Social Workers) continuing education units shall be obtained from approved programs which are live, interactive

10.42.06.05 Authorization of Sponsors and Approval of Continuing Education Programs.

A. Authorized Sponsors.

(b) National, regional, or State social work associations including, but not limited to:

(i) Social work licensing boards… (ALLCEUs is an approved provider for the Florida Board of Social Work) and

(iv) Non-social-work professional membership organizations providing programs that are relevant to the professional development of social workers;

Psychologists

Rules

A psychologist shall complete a minimum of 40 CE hours during each reporting period with a:

(1) Maximum of 20 CE hours in independent study;

(2) Minimum of 3 CE hours in activities whose content area is:

(a) Laws pertaining to the practice of psychology;

(b) Ethics and professional conduct in the practice of psychology; or

(c) Managing risks associated with the practice of psychology;

(3) Minimum of 3 CE hours in activities designed to enhance competence in the provision of psychological services to culturally diverse populations; and

(4) If the psychologist supervised psychology associates during the reporting period, minimum of 3 CE hours in activities designed to enhance competence in the provision of clinical supervision.

B. A psychology associate shall complete a minimum of 20 CE hours during each reporting period with a:

(1) Maximum of 10 CE hours in independent study;

(2) Minimum of 3 CE hours in activities whose content area is:

(a) Laws pertaining to the practice of psychology;

(b) Ethics and professional conduct in the practice of psychology; or

(c) Managing risks associated with the practice of psychology; and

(3) Minimum of 3 CE hours in activities designed to enhance competence in the provision of psychological services to culturally diverse populations.

C. During each reporting period, CE hours may be earned only once for the same activity.

D. Reporting Period.

(1) The reporting period for psychologists or psychology associates with license or registration numbers ending with an:

(a) Odd digit will be March 31 of odd years; and

(b) Even digit or 0 will be March 31 of even years.
